Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and netboi [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us") for the service at netboi.app. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.
The service
netboi aggregates the balances of financial accounts you connect — via Plaid, a SimpleFIN token you bring, or manual entry — and tracks your net worth over time on a dashboard. It is a read-only view of your own data: netboi never moves money and cannot initiate transactions.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You sign in with a Google account; keep it secure, since anyone who controls it controls your netboi account. You may only connect financial accounts you are authorized to access.
Plans, trial, and billing
- Free — manual accounts, bring-your-own SimpleFIN sync, full dashboard and history. $0.
- Starter — up to 3 automatic bank connections. $6 per month or $60 per year.
- Plus — up to 8 automatic bank connections. $12 per month or $110 per year.
New accounts get a 30-day free trial with up to 3 bank connections, no card required. When the trial ends, automatic syncing pauses until you subscribe — your data and dashboard stay available on the free plan.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Plan changes prorate immediately: upgrades charge only the difference, downgrades credit it. Canceling refunds the unused portion of what you have paid. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Third-party connections
Bank syncing uses Plaid. By connecting an institution you authorize us and Plaid to retrieve your account data, and you agree to the Plaid end user services agreement. Balances come from your institutions through these providers; we display what they report and cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free.
Not financial advice
netboi is an informational tool. Nothing in the service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and the numbers shown should not be your sole basis for financial decisions.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service to violate the law, probe or disrupt its security, access other users' data, resell it, or extract it by automated means. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do, or that abuse the free trial.
Your data
You retain all rights to your data. How we handle it, including deletion and the 90-day backup erasure bound, is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You can delete your account at any time from settings; deletion removes your bank connections at Plaid and erases your data as described there.
Termination
You can stop using netboi or delete your account at any time; if you had time left on a subscription, the unused portion is refunded. We may suspend or terminate the service for breach of these terms, and may discontinue the service entirely with at least 60 days' notice, refunding any unused subscription time.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-interruption. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the courts of that jurisdiction — except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you mandatory rights or a local forum, which these terms do not override.
